A new renewable world is emerging. European and Asian countries continue to set targets for renewable energy, and realizing that biomass will play a key role, they look to Canada as a major biomass supplier. Yet as Canada ramps up its biomass production for export, our domestic bioenergy industry is growing exponentially, initially in community heat, bio-power, and biofuels, and soon in drop-in transportation fuels, cellulosic ethanol, bio-chemicals and bio-pharmaceuticals. Canada is a leader in many bio-technologies, and we anticipate leveraging our biomass resources and technology to be at the forefront in developing a bio-economy.

At the The Bioeconomy - Advantage Canada, we will see how Canada can position itself as a leader of the emerging bioeconomy. CanBio's Annual General Meeting of Members: The CanBio Annual General Meeting of Members will be held on Monday, November 26 from 4:00-5:30 pm at the Sheraton Wall Centre. Members will learn about all 2012 CanBio activities, vote on Board makeup and other key issues, and have their say about the direction of CanBio. All members are welcome and encouraged to attend.
