For the 8th year in a row, Recycled Runway in Boulder, Colorado, featured young designers who created fashion designs out of found and recycled materials to stunning effect. This is haute couture at its most sustainable. 

This is my first blog post, so please bear with me while i figure out my writing style and how to be more proficient at this. 

The Re-Use-It Centre in Whistler, BC contributes to 75% of the operating budget for 26 different community organizations including the food bank and search and rescue!

Would this work everywhere? Probably not, but might it work in a place like Lake Tahoe or another ski resort with a similarly large transient population? Check out this video for ways that you might implement a similar community benefit organization in your community.

Gecko Makes It Easy How to reduce your impact, strengthen your community, and enhance your lifestyle. The range of new products available that have a deduced environmental impact continually impresses me. Ever the optimist, I take this as a sign that a real shift is happening in the way humans understand the connections between modern society and the natural systems we intersect.
