Fresh Thinking and Peer-to-Peer Collaboration
to Create More Livable Communities

Cascadia Green Building Council invites the region's policy makers and government staff to attend the 2012 Government Confluence, a one-day summit designed to inspire fresh thinking, promote collaboration and provide tools to help make communities more livable, more resilient and more ecologically robust. Aimed at public sector leaders from the Pacific Northwest, this Confluence will help policy makers, managers, planners, building code officials and others tackle sustainability challenges unique to local government. This is your one-stop shop to learn about cutting-edge topics, replicable case studies, funding opportunities and sustainability planning tools.  Join us for a day of inspiration to help implement change in your jurisdiction.

We'll start the day off with a thought provoking presentation by keynote speaker Robert Liberty. Mr. Liberty, a former Metro Councilor, is the Executive Director for University of Oregon's Sustainable Cities Initiative, which The New York Times has  called "perhaps the most comprehensive effort by a U.S. university to infuse sustainability into its curricula and community outreach."

Full Confluence details, agenda and registration opportunities available here. The Government Confluence has been approved by GBCI for 12 CE hours.
