I'm Chief Operating Officer at Manx BirdLife, a small charity in the Isle of Man (Irish Sea). I was born and raised in Lisbon, Portugal. Left my country to pressue a carrer in Nature conservation. Since a very young age I was a Eco-friendly/ sustainable committed advocate, nagging my parents to take me to the recycling point to leave glass bottles and paper. My next big sustainability set is to buy an electric car. |

My background is in Geography, particularly Conservation Management. I have always been fascinated with the connections which people and communities make with wildlife and wilderness. My books include Sacred Mountains: Ancient Wisdom and Modern Meanings, Sacred Nature: Ancient Wisdom and Modern Meanings, and Places of Pilgrimage and Healing. In 2015, I founded Felixstowe's Community Nature Reserve in the UK as a local community-based response to falling wildlife populations. |
