Video: Concrete Beet Urban Farm - Minneapolis, MN
"Started by a group of Macalester students who want to be a part of the changing food system, Concrete Beet Farm in South Minneapolis is part of a growing network of urban farming organizations in Minnesota. For now this farm plot is small-scale Community Supported Agriculture, operating with a grant from the Institute for Global Citizenship. Volunteers deliver shares by bicycle around the neighborhood.
Yet as changing urban agriculture policy indicates, growing demand for food from within city limits could have benefits for community development, use of space, and providing nutritious produce to consumers."
